While I was at work Tuesday night, my books were listed on amazon.com marketplace. =) Books self-published through lulu.com are now listed on amazon. Which comes to the reason for this post- if you've read either of my novels in the past, I would really appreciate it if you rated and/or left a review for me on amazon. Thank you!

A side note, it is still cheaper to order my books (or anyone who has published through lulu) through lulu.com. Amazon adds a charge to it and therefore the price goes up. But...it so exciting to be able to say my books are on amazon.

I ran across your blog while browsing around on LiveJournal. I have asked people to post reviews of my book on Amazon, but so far, only one person has done so. I even sent the readers I knew instructions on how to go about doing this, but so far, not much luck. They send me back comments that are suitable for posting as reviews and I just keep a collection of those on my blog. It would help to have more reviews posted.

Our issue with Amazon is that they get 55% of the profit. Still, they're convenient and easy to work with. I'd rather someone buy through Amazon than to have to send a check to my publisher or wait for a book signing.

Thank you for your comment, I always like to hear from people who happened upon my blog. I looked at your blog and read about your success on publishing your novel with a publishing company, congratulations. I never seriously looked into publishing companies, when I started my novel I had planned on self-publishing it when I finished it. To pursue a publisher for my novels is something I would like to do someday, but it hasn't happened yet.

My biggest reason for being excited to my novels on amazon is that amazon is a familiar name. The most common question I get from people when I mention my books is 'are they on amazon?'. And now I can say yes. I also have a collection of reviews, but I keep them on my personal website, instead of here on the blog.

I know *exactly* how you feel :-) I was so excited to find my books listed on Amazon, even though I'm unlikely to sell [m]any there.

=) Even if we don't sell any through amazon, it's still very cool.

How exciting! Congratulations! Now I can say I know someone with books on Lulu AND amazon :D

Expect a review to pop up shortly, I guess it takes time to process.
