As I've said many a time, my computer isn't exactly the most functional piece of equipment in the world. It's lack of ability to keep up has almost stopped all my web design stuff.

I was going through that stuff and came to the TOWn stuff. So much work was put into that project, and not just by me. Many, many hours were poured into by many talented people. And so I have decided that I am going to post all the original articles that were made for it here so the authors can have access to it and more people can see their hard work and then I'll save them to my memories section. It's all good stuff, and deserves more than just collecting dust in my computer.

 

I'm starting with The Lion's Club in which most of the staff/TOWnsfolks contributed to.

"Prince Caspian"

This is the Prince Caspian overview, just one of the many overviews Written for books written by C.S. Lewis. There were four children the same children from the first two books, they were brought to Narnia again, and they found someone kidnapping and trying to drown someone. When they rescued the creature who ended up being a dwarf, he told his story…Prince Caspian is a child who grew up with his aunt and uncle and nurse, He didn’t like his Aunt Prunaprismia and Uncle Miraz much but he loved his nurse, who always used to tell him about the past in NARNIA, where animals could talk and think just like we do, and they great Lion, the one they used to call ASLAN. Caspian would always talk about how he wished he could have lived in the old days, but one day when he did, his uncle heard him and asked him where he had heard those “Old Wife’s Tales.” When Caspian told him he had heard them from his Nurse, she was sent away never to come back. His uncle summoned a tutor, who Caspian found out was half dwarf. When his tutor brought him up to a tower he told him that his life was in grave peril. For the queen, his aunt, had had a son. Which means that they wouldn’t need him anymore. Before he left his tutor gave him a horn, which had been Susan’s enchanted horn. Caspian fled into the woods, but was conked out, and his horse fled. When he woke the next morning, he found that a kindly badger, a talking badger, had taken him in, with dwarfs, whose names were Nikabrik, and Trumpkin (who was telling the story). The next day the badger took Caspian out and showed him all they animals who had lived in hiding. And the badger told him, whose name was Trufflehunter, that they needed his help in fending off his uncle who was trying to kill all the old Narnian creatures. Caspian made a speech saying that all the creatures were to get together and fight! All the sudden they heard a noise in the crowd, it was just Caspian’s tutor. He told them that they must flee for Miraz had found them.  The next day Caspian had his first battle…and lost. And then Trumpkin said that he had been sent to find them. And basically there he was after they saved him. After a little weapons practice they left the island in the row boat the two men had. And that’s how they left the island. Later they got out of the rowboat and they decided to just have a supper of apples and go to sleep, but Lucy couldn’t so she got up and saw all the Dryads and Hamadryads. And she wished with all her heart that they would wake. The next day they had a hard time deciding where to go, Lucy said she had saw Aslan in the gorge, up, but they all decided to go down next to the stream instead, which wasn’t as easy as it looked. The finally found where they were going but they were under attack and so they crawled back up the hill they had just crawled down. So they went back and went Lucy’s way this time. When they finally set up camp Lucy went into a deep sleep but then woke for Aslan had been calling her. After he had talked to her, she found out that Susan and Edmund wouldn’t be coming back to Narnia. Anyway the next day they went to the Caspian’s camp, which was in a cave.Caspian and Peter liked each other at once, but after some unpleasant things happened, Peter wrote a letter to Miraz, challenging him to a duel. Peter won.  Later that day (I won’t list everything that happened that day) Aslan made a door in the air and they went home

 

 

"Voyage of the Dawn Treader"

This adventure starts when Edmund and Lucy go to stay at their Aunt and Uncle’s house with their kid Eustace Scrubb (snicker, snicker).  When they were in Lucy’s room talking about their adventures in NARNIA, Eustace came in and started teasing them. When Eustace caught Lucy looking at this HUGE picture of a boat sailing on the sea, he started saying how much he hated the picture, but Lucy said how much she loved the picture. She said it reminded her of NARNIA and that it looked like it was actually moving, but the truth was that it was movingA little while after they realized that it was moving they fell into the picture. The sailors on the ship hurriedly grabbed them and hauled them on deck. Then they saw their old friends Caspian and Reepicheep. After awhile Caspian explained that he was trying to find seven Lords. That took to them a good deal of places, but I shall tell you a bit of each. First they went to the Lone Islands, and were captured as slaves for the slave trade. When Caspian was sold, he was sold to none other then Lord Bern. When they went to the Governor Gumpas, governor of the islands they found out that even the soldiers guarding his castle, were in rags. When Caspian stormed into the castle where Gumpas was that he was unfit to serve. Caspian put Lord Bern in charge. Next place, where they landed after a fierce storm was later named Dragon Island. Eustace became a dragon because of his greed. Later though Aslan changed him back into a boy, and they found that Lord Octesian had met his doom being a dragon also The after that, they met the Fierce Sea Serpent, defeated it, (not as easy as it sounded but I’ll not launch into that now) then landed on another island where they found a lake that turned things into gold and made you greedy and arrogant, but there they also found that a Lord had met his doom. Reepicheep later named that island Deathwater. Further on their journey east they came to an island that had many invisible creatures, and wanted something from Lucy or that they would kill they crew. When Lucy did what she was told, which was to make them visible for they were invisible, and they also met a nice wizard who was a servant of Aslan. Later they came to a Island that wasn’t really an Island or a mist it was just Darkness. In there they found the Lord Rhoop, who told them it was a place of dreams, not daydreams, dreams. And they hurried away from there. After that they came to their last stop, the island they came to was where their last three Lords were. A lady came out and asked why they hadn’t eaten the food on the table, and the said they thought it was enchanted for the three Lords were asleep on a table full of food. She said that this was Aslan’s table, and they ate and drank. They asked how to wake the lord, and the Lady’s father had come out and he said that they had to sail to the world’s end. And leave one behind. As they sailed for the world’s end, Caspian saw Aslan, and he said that they must leave Reepicheep, Eustace, Lucy and Edmund. Later on when Reepicheep sailed to Aslan’s land they saw Aslan and He said that they must go and that he was also in our world only under a different name. Then he opened a door in the air and they were back in our world

 

 

"The Silver Chair"

Hi again! Anyway Eustace and his new friend Jill, embark on an adventure of a lifetime. While they were talking they hear the school bullies approaching and looking for them behind the gym, Eustace had just finished telling Jill about NARNIA and they were trying to get there. Well, they decided to try a door that is found rarely unlocked, they tried it and it was unlocked. But it wasn’t the outside of the school it was err…somewhere else. When they went in, they found that they were on a cliff higher than you can imagine, but when Jill went to the edge, she accidentally pushed Eustace over the cliff. But before he had fallen far a golden gleam blew him away to NARNIA. Later Jill saw that it was a great Lion. Then she found out it could talk. That lion was Aslan, when she found out that they didn’t ask to come to NARNIA, they were told to come. He told her that they were to find the Prince Rilian of NARNIA. He gave her signs as to make their journey easier. Then, He blew her to NARNIA as he had done with Eustace. Now if you were wondering what the signs were here they, 1. The first person Eustace sees shall be an old friend and he had to greet him at once. 2.they must journey out of NARNIA to the north until they came to the ruined city of the ancient giants. 3.they would find a stone with writing on it and they had to do what the writing said. 4.they would know who the prince was for he would be the first person on their travels who would ask something in His name. Well, anyway, Jill had a marvelous flight and repeated the signs so she would remember them. When she entered NARNIA she met Eustace, and then they saw an old man with a white beard. But the problem was after the elderly man had left, they found out that he was the one Eustace was supposed to meet. Well, there goes the first sign So they went into the castle for an owl named Glimfeather had approached them and it was he who told them that the old man was Caspian. Later that night when they were in the castle the owl came to Jill and told what they had to do and after they took her and Eustace to a Marsh-Wiggle called Puddleglum. After a good nights sleep in Puddleglum’s wigwam, they got to meet him. They saw he was a character of muddy complexion. Anyway finally they were on their way to the ruined city of the ancient giants As they traveled they came to a lady. The Lady told them that they should go to the House of Harfang for the winter. And they went. Now, when they got there, their courage shrunk, for it takes a lot of guts to knock on a giant’s door. When they knocked and got in the first thing that happened was that they saw the King and Queen and got taken to their rooms. So when they got there, they slept and ate and had hot baths, but one day when they were eating cold stag. But then Puddleglum found out it was talking stag. And worse yet, they found out that the giants wanted to eat them! And so when they finally got out the giants pursued them. But they got away, just to get into another messNow Jill had looked out her window and saw the third sign, the words were: UNDER ME, and when they escaped the mess they got into was under ground, so they obeyed Aslan’s commands. When they got under ground they found a young man with a quite irritating laugh. But he said he had an enchantment upon him, and they watched the enchantment, and they found out that he was Prince Rilian, and the lady they had met before, was his enchanter. Then the lady turned into the green serpent that Rilian was searching for, and he killed it. And later when they got into NARNIA,they found Caspian there, but right after he saw his son he died. And when Jill and Eustace went back into their own world, they scared the pants off of the bullies, for Aslan showed His back to them and they freaked out. This has been a Mightimidget production

 

 

"Horse and His Boy"

A boy named Shasta and a horse named Bree, meet each other one night when a stranger comes demanding hospitality. Shasta overhears the man he calls father talking about selling Shasta as a slave. When Shasta can hear no more, he walks over to the horse and starts wishing out loud that it could talk. When he finds out it can, they immediately become friends and make their plans to go to “Narnia and the North!” On their travels they meet another escapee, Aravis and her horse Hwin,while trying to escape lions. When they meet Aravis tells her story about how she was going to be forced to marry against her will, and she was about to kill herself she found out her horse, Hwin, could talk. Later on the two groups decide to travel together. After awhile they find their way to Tashbaan, and finding their way through it unnoticed was a problem. Finally they decide to cut the horses tails unevenly and tried to make themselves look like miserable slaves But when Shasta is mistaken for a young Narnian prince and Aravis’friend Lasarleen sees her. They get separated and everything goes wrong from there. When Shasta finally escapes, and finds himself alone among the tombs where they agreed to meet, he is terrified. Then the next day when he meets the horses he finds out that Aravis is not there, they wait even longer. But when they finally get back together, they face the torment of The desert, and now they have the mission of trying to get to Narnia before Rabadash. When they finally make it and find out they’re almost there, another lion chases them into a hermit’s home. There, Aravis is scratched from the lion. And Shasta has to go and find King Lune, the King of Archenland, friends of Narnia, he meets Aslan and finds out that he was the only lion chasing them After awhile Shasta find himself in Narnia and meets all kind of folk. After the battle that took place when Rabadash attacked Narnia found out that he was the twin of Corin (the prince they mistook him for back in Tashbaan). The two brothers loved each other even though they got into many fights and quarrels. And Aravis came to live in the palace with Shasta, and even though they got into fights they eventually got married and when they ruled Archenland they made a great king and queen

 

 

"The Magician's Nephew"

A girl and a boy by the names of Polly and Digory met one day in London, never to know of the strange adventure that would await them. Digory's daft Uncle Andrew fiddled around with magic a little too  much Polly and Digory explore the rafter on Polly’s house, and accidentally walk into Uncle Andrew’s forbidden study. Now he is ecstatic about this and locks them in. He gives Polly a ring and for better lack of words…POOF! Digory is forced to go after her and they find themselves in a dying world called Charn, and awaken a Witch. They are back to the Wood between Worlds. And as they are going back to their world they Witch grabs Digory and they end up back in our world. But the witch came with them. Eventually they get her back to the Wood Between Worlds, but their troubles are not over yet. They end up in a young world just beginning called, yes! You guessed it! NARNIA. They find a great lion, the one called Aslan.  He tells them that a great source of evil has entered his new world. And he sends Digory on a quest for a silver apple. Though he had many temptations while getting the apple he got it. Brought it back to Aslan and Aslan Planted it and it grew into a tree to protect NARNIA from the witch, for a long time. And Digory and Polly went back to their world never to forget their Adventures in NARNIA

 

 

"The Last Battle"

The last battle is…well…the last book. So when an ape named Shift finds a lion skin in the water, he thinks up a devious plan, he calls over his “friend” Puzzle the donkey, who is more like the apes servant. He tells the donkey to put it on for the ape had sewed it so that it was more like a coat. When Puzzle put on the coat everything goes wrong, the ape decides to make people think that Puzzle was the great lion Aslan himself. Later when King Tirian of NARNIA and his friend Jewel the unicorn were out enjoying the air, suddenly they hears a cry and then the crier comes into view. It was a Dryad. She was crying as if being beaten, a minute later she was on the ground and then disappeared altogether. King Tirian and Jewel were so overcome with grief for they both knew that miles away her tree had been cut down. When they went to investigate, something else horrible; came upon them they saw that the Calormens were using the Talking Horses as slaves. Tirian immediately killed them and then the horses told him and jewel that this was by Aslan’s orders. Tirian and Jewel turned themselves in thinking of themselves as murderers, but instead of being taken to Aslan they were taken to the ape. The ape told them to tie Tirian up at a tree, and Jewel to the back of the stable, for where they took him was StableHill. While Tirian was there he cried out to Aslan, and saw something like a dream, seven people gathered around a table staring at him as if a ghost.Later that night the two youngest people of that group came into NARNIA and cut Tirian’s bonds. It was Eustace and Jill. As they walked they talked and Jill and Eustace told Tirian who they were and Tirian told them who he was and what was happening in NARNIA. When Tirian asked how they got here, they said that all thee old friends of NARNIA were meeting at the railroad station,  and there was a jolt, and they thought there had been a crash but they found themselves in NARNIA instead. After awhile they came a tower and the king unlocked it with a key that looked a little rusted, there they a good night’s rest and got armored up that night to save Jewel. That night they went back to Stable Hill and there they say the ape bringing out Puzzle dressed in a Lion’s skin. They saw all the Narnians there in fear for the ape had told them that Aslan had come and swallowed Tirian. After they had all gone to bed, Tirian and his gang went up and freed Jewel, but when they got back Jill wasn’t there! They started to whisper hoarsely for they didn’t want to give away their position. They saw a figure coming and they froze, it was Jill and she had something with her, an ass. Jill told the story how this donkey was the false Aslan. When Tirian lifted his sword to smite puzzle’s head Jill told him that it wasn’t his fault. On their way back to the tower they saw a group of dwarfs led by Calormens, and the dwarfs said it was Aslan’s bidding, but when they showed them the ass, they said, “the dwarfs are for the dwarfs!” so that idea of bringing them against the ape went down the drain. The next day when they were up they saw a terrible looking figure, it had the head of a vulture and four arms…it was Tash, the Calormen god. That day they went down to the stable and were ready to show puzzle to everybody but, then the ape said that there was a donkey dressed up like Aslan and that it was evil. So they took the lion skin off of Puzzle and once again…another idea down the drain. But then they found out that the ape had something else in the stable. And he asked who would like to go in for he said that they had to go in and see Aslan. So at first Ginger the cat went in and came out extremely frightened. Then a Calormen went in and “came out dead.” In the end they tried to force a boar into the stable but,  Tirian and his men attacked the ape and his people, and before thee ape knew what was going on, he himself was thrown into the stable then a Calormen. Now what was really in there was Tash, just in case you were wondering. In the end Jill, Eustace and Tirian all went through the stable door, and ended un in the real Aslan’s country. And then Aslan called all loyal Narnians to him and the ones that loved Him came into His country and the ones that didn’t disappeared into His shadow. Here are a couple of people that were there: Peter, the High King, Lucy, Edmund, Digory, Polly, Eustace, and Jill. Aslan told them that there really was an accident that is why they were all there, they were, dead. But they all lived happily ever after in Aslan’s  county,which was exactly like NARNIA, but everything was brighter, and food tasted juicier than you could imagine! And that is the end of their adventures!!!

 

Now you'll probably notice that these were written in a different style as the rest. I got the idea into my head that, hey these are children's books so why not have a child write what she thought about them! Hence was born Mighty Midget's Narnian Narratives, the perspective of a 12 year old.
